Keeping Busy
I've had a little set back lately. I fell and broke my shoulder about three weeks ago, so sewing on the sewing machine is out of the question and typing is a single handed affair. I discovered, however, that I can do some limited hand sewing with my arm in a sling. I tend to be a bit manic if I'm not working on something, so the hand sewing has keep me from going completely beserk.
I will be posting a new tutorial soon, but I thought I share some of the projects I've been working on.
I assembled and appliqued this sweet little quilt from "A Little Porch Time" by Lynda Hall about 6 months ago, but I put it aside to be hand quilted at a later time. It was a perfect project to soothe my creative soul.
I bought this yummy fall kit at my local guild's quilt show. The talented designer is Joan Grenke from Bits and Pieces by Joan . I stitched it up in a couple of hours (even with my arm in a sling), and added a simple border of plus and minus signs with black perle cotton, size 12.
Happy stitching!
